About Cosy blog

This is the blog for Church of Scotland Youthwork (Cosy), part of the Mission and Discipleship Council. We hope that this can be a space for young people and anyone else who is interested to keep up to date with what is going on. The contributions here come mainly from the young people themselves who are involved in events.

The main events Cosy is involved in are the National Youth Assembly, an annual conference which allows young people from 16-25 a voice in the Church of Scotland, and sending Youth Representatives to the General Assembly. We also often send young people to events held by churches abroad (in recent years these have included Malawi, Nepal and Taiwan) and there are occasional trips organised to places and events abroad which allow young people to explore their faith in different and often deeper ways. The most regular of these have been the pilgrimages to Israel/Palestine and to World Youth Day (run by the Roman Catholic Church), while other trips have included Auschwitz and Rome.

This blog is to provide a space for information and reports about all of these but we are also interested in featuring more posts about work being done with or by young people at a local level. If you are involved with a project or an event you would like to see featured here please leave a comment and someone will get back to you.
